How To Find A Pulse
Finding the Carotid Pulse during an emergency is critical, but not as easy as you might think. Even the most skilled pre-hospital care professionals have been found to be inconsistent when manually assessing for a pulse. But the ability to locate other pulses, such as the brachial, radial, and pedal pulse is important when assessing injury severity and proper splinting. This month we will look at locations of vital pulses and techniques for more effective assessment.
