Update: Scoop Stretcher and ER Slide board Transfer Protocols

er-slide-boardIn a previous edition of Sports Medicine Concepts’ Informative Friday Series, SMC took a close look at scoop stretcher transfer protocols in football.  The results seemed to indicate there were some serious issues with using a scoop stretcher to transfer football players.  However, the most recent Informative Friday Segment seems to indicate that the scoop stretcher is very effective in transferring an injured hockey player.

In this segment SMC also demonstrates use of a slide board to transfer injured athletes from an EMS to an ER gurney.
