Sports Medicine Concepts reviews protocols, policies, and products that have the potential to significantly affect outcomes. Based on the results of our reviews we work to develop strategies to incorporate advantageous results and alternate approaches that result in an observable improvement in patient outcomes.
SMC performs two types of reviews. Both are independent reviews free of any relationships with authors, manufacturers, or persons that may present any conflict of interest.
SMC’s Record of Perceived Safe Handling Review
The RPSH looks at a policy, protocol, or product from the perspective of its effect on the ability of providers to effectively complete critical care tasks while maintaining safe patient handling.
SMC’s Sideline Review
The Sideline Review takes a very organic look at a policy, protocol, or product from the perspective of how practical it can be applied by providers in various practice settings.
